Showers and thunderstorms will head east through the evening. A few lingering light showers could last past midnight along the Front Range. It will be mostly cloudy overnight. Temperatures will be comfortable with upper 50s and low 60s across metro Denver and the eastern plains. There will be more refreshing 40s in parts of the Colorado mountains.

Saturday will start off with some clouds, followed by some sunshine for several hours. Scattered showers are expected to return during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will stay below normal across eastern Colorado with mainly 70s and 80s. It will remain hot with 80s and 90s across the western half of the state.
