NBA players make more and more money every year, yet some legends still remain on the highest-paid list.
Among the top-10 highest paid NBA players, there are names that you would expect to see, and one complete shocker.

Arguably the greatest player of all time and longest-serving player in the league.
James has been in the NBA since the 2003-04 season and has raked in insane amounts of money in the process.
Presently, James has earned $528 million over the course of his illustrious career.
However, by the end of his current contract, that number will go up to $581 million.
The largest contracts James signed were a four-year, $153 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018 and a six-year, $109 million deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2010.
Right behind James in career earnings in fellow future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant.
Up to this point in his career, Durant has earned a whopping $447 million.
By the time his current contract expires, he will have made $501 million in his career.
Durant has signed some massive contracts over the course of his career.
In 2019 he signed a four-year, $164 million deal with the Golden State Warriors and in 2022 he signed a four-year, $194 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets.
Rounding out the top three on the career earnings list is another future Hall of Famer in Steph Curry.
Curry debuted in the 2009-10 season, but has already earned $410 million over the course of his career.
By the time his current contract ends, Curry will have earned $532 million.
Curry is the only player in the top 10 of career earnings to spend his entire career with the same team.
His biggest contracts with the Warriors include a four-year, $215 million deal and a five-year, $201 million deal.
Among the top 10 highest paid players, nine of them are still playing.
The one outlier is a surprising name in Kevin Garnett.
Garnett played from 1995 to 2016, making 15 All-Star games along the way.
He is a NBA Champion and Hall of Famer, and made much more money than other players of his era.
Garnett is the ninth-highest paid player of all time, making $334 million over the course of his career.
He got some big deals with the Minnesota Timberwolves early in his career in the form of a six-year, $126 million deal in 1998 and a five-year, $100 million deal in 2004.
Garnett’s contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves is considered one of the leading factors for the NBA lockout in 1998 and led to the implementation of max contracts.
