Normally $499.99, the Merach W50 walking pad is currently on sale for $329.99—making it a much stronger option for such a solid walking pad. As I covered in my review of the machine, the Merach offers true treadmill-like durability. However, that sturdy constructions comes at the cost of easy storage.

Treadmill-quality incline: The 12% auto incline feature is by far the most notable aspect here. Most walking pads offer minimal or no incline, but the W50's significant grade allows for hill training. With the trendiness of walking-based workouts, this high grade of incline is a serious selling point. Personally, I use this feature for active recovery hill walks and to build lower leg strength without the impact stress of running.

Surprisingly quiet operation: Living in an apartment, noise is always a major concern. The W50 operates quietly enough that I can use it for early morning recovery walks without disturbing neighbors. The motor runs smoothly even at higher inclines, which isn't always the case with budget walking pads.
