In today’s news: our community continues picking up after the devastation of Tropical Depression Chantal over the weekend. Orange County is still under a state of emergency, the water systems are still damaged in Mebane and Hillsborough, and five deaths have been confirmed around the area, with officials still searching for a missing boater on Jordan Lake. But recovery is also underway, with some businesses and offices reopening and numerous volunteer cleanup efforts getting off the ground.
