Frank Warren has confirmed there is an agreement in place for Tyson Fury to return in 2026.

His promoter, Warren, confirmed to talkSPORT that Fury had indeed reversed his decision to retire.

Fury has agreed to make a boxing comeback in 2026 and wants Usyk

Fury is set to come out of retirement next year having made a U-turn while in Istanbul at the recent IBA conference.

At the conference, he held talks with Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh and even announced a supposed date for a trilogy with Oleksandr Usyk.

His decision to retire came after their rematch last December, when the unified heavyweight world champion beat him in two successive outings.

And the Queensberry Promotions kingpin confirmed that talks had been opened over his return.

Warren told talkSPORT: “He’s been talking about it a little bit.

“Some calls took place and there’s an agreement made, that’s all I can tell you at the moment.”

Fury announced his retirement from the sport in January, for the fifth time across his professional career to date.

“He has retired, up until he said he was coming back,” Warren explained. “Look, Frank Sinatra retired a lot.

“Like I’ve said to you before if that’s how [Tyson] feels in the moment, that’s how he feels. We’ll see what happens, but he feels he wants it fight Usyk again.”

The Gypsy King has taken to social media multiple times this year to reiterate that he is happily retired.

Warren insists an agreement has been reached, with Usyk the most likely foe

Even going as far as to state in one clip on his social media: “I’ve been around the world and back again and here we are, this is what retirement looks like for the Gypsy King.

“Not too shabby. I’m in no rush at all to go back to boxing and get my face punched in, for what? What would I return for?

“So here we are, I’m retired and I’m staying retired. I’ve got nothing to prove to anybody and nothing to return for. God bless you all and see you on the other side.”

But a few days ago Fury made the surprise announcement via Instagram that he will fight Usyk for a third time, stating: ’April 18 2026 Wembley Stadium. The trilogy!’.

Warren’s promotional company, Queensberry, have a huge fight scheduled for Wembley Stadium next weekend.

Usyk and Daniel Dubois will battle to unite all of the heavyweight titles on July 19 in front of 90,000 fans, and the outcome could dictate if Fury could get his shot at the Ukrainian next.

In May 2024, Usyk emerged victorious via split decision from his first undisputed heavyweight bout against WBC champion Fury.

Before reaffirming his dominance with another victory in a December rematch with the unified titles on the line.

Fury’s rival Usyk is now gearing up to defend his belts in a bid to become undisputed champion for the third time, but Warren believes Dubois could upset the Gypsy King’s plans.

Warren said: “As I’ve said, we’ve got a show on the 19th of July at Wembley with Daniel Dubois and I believe Daniel will beat him.”

If Dubois, who holds the IBF title, beats Usyk to be crowned the new undisputed heavyweight champion of the world then the belts would be off the line if Usyk and Fury were to fight.

“It would still be a good fight, Tyson vs Usyk,” Warren concluded.
