The Hurghada International Airport in Egypt received the first Vision Air SRL flight from the Moldovan capital of Chisinau on Sunday morning, carrying 189 passengers.
This flight is part of the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s efforts to stimulate international aviation and tourism, serving as a new step toward boosting inbound tourism from Eastern Europe.
The company is scheduled to operate three weekly flights to Hurghada International Airport starting this July, opening new horizons for tourism from Moldova and neighboring countries to Hurghada, the most prominent tourist destination on the Red Sea coast.
The flight was received by the airport’s public relations team, where an official welcoming ceremony was organized for the aircraft, beginning with the traditional water cannon salute.
Airport staff distributed flowers, souvenirs, and chocolates to passengers, reflecting the warm spirit of Egyptian hospitality.
The operation of this route is part of a comprehensive plan by the Ministry of Civil Aviation aimed at attracting more international airlines, developing the infrastructure of Egyptian airports, and providing operational facilities that enhance Egypt’s position as a regional aviation hub and a global tourist destination.
This flight positively showcases the recovery of the tourism sector, especially with the growing European interest in Hurghada, as its environmental and recreational allure make it one of the region’s more prominent beach tourism destinations.
