A day after Team India’s sound thrashing of hosts England in the second Test at Edgbaston, a lot of developments took place, with regards to the IND vs ENG series. In a column, former England skipper Michael Vaughan lashed out heavily on opener Zak Crawley, for not being a consistent run-scorer. He went on to say, he is the “luckiest cricketer from England”, for getting regular opportunities to play, despite only averaging 31 in 56 Tests.

And when South African Wiaan Mulder had an opportunity to surpass Brian Lara’s long-standing record of 400 in Tests, he declared the innings, while batting on 367. “Brian Lara is a Legend, for someone of that stature to keep that record will be really special – if I get the chance again, I will probably do the same thing again, I spoke to the coach as well, let the legends keep the big scores – Lara keeping that record will be exactly the way it should be,” Mulder said.
R Sai Kishore Joins Surrey
Indian spinner R Sai Kishore is the latest to be a part of a County team this year. The left-armer joined Surrey on a two-match stint, following the footsteps of the likes of Tilak Varma, Ishan Kishan, Yuzvendra Chahal and Ruturaj Gaikwad. The two matches he will play, are against Yorkshire and Durham.
Prithvi Shaw to Play for Maharashtra
Former India U-19 captain, Prithvi Shaw has completed his move to Maharashtra, for the upcoming domestic season. “At this stage of my career, I believe joining the Maharashtra team will help me grow further as a cricket,” Prithvi Shaw said in a statement. Despite averaging 46 in FC, his performances had dipped considerably.
IND vs ENG U19 Series Ends in India’s Favour
The five match YODI series between India and England ended on Monday. Even though the visitors won 3-2, they lost the last match by seven wickets. What is important to note is, IPL star Ayush Mhatre could only muster 27 runs in the series, while Vaibhav Suryavanshi piled on 322 runs, at an average of 71.
