DENVER (KDVR) — Multiple fire agencies responded to a child who fell six floors from a building, according to a post on X from the Denver Fire Department.

DFD said that the child fell six floors from a hotel located on East Hampden Avenue.

The building was formerly the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denver Tech Center North, but was purchased by the city through the House1000 initiative to serve as The Tamarac Family Shelter, which is managed by The Salvation Army, and holds 205 units for families with minor children, according to the city of Denver website.

Emergency responders said that the child is awake and responsive, but has multiple injuries.

Denver Fire said that the child is being transported to Children's Hospital, with fire crews assisting the ambulance.

The agency also said that there is no information on the circumstances of the fall.
