POLICE REPORTS
The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymously report crime information, call 707-463-6205.
ALARM PULLED: Caller in the 1100 block of Mulberry Street reported at 1:09 a.m. July 5 that an unknown woman pulled an alarm. An officer responded and cited and released a 41-year-old Ukiah woman for “willfully and maliciously tampering with fire protection equipment.”
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Caller in the 600 block of Willow Avenue reported a couple fighting at 1:37 p.m. July 5. An officer responded and arrested Shadin Peterson, 24, of Willits, on suspicion of domestic violence and false imprisonment. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON: An officer responded to the 700 block of North State Street at 7:59 a.m. July 6 for a report of a suspicious person and arrested Jacob Parmely, 39, of Ukiah, on suspicion of attempting to possess obscene material depicting a minor and for violating his parole. He was booked into county jail.
ILLEGAL CAMPING: An officer contacted a suspicious person in the 1100 block of Airport Park Boulevard at 10:13 a.m. July 6 and cited and released a 45-year-old man for violating city camping codes.
SHOPLIFTER: An officer responded to CVS on South Orchard Avenue at 7:50 p.m. July 6 for a report of shoplifting and arrested a 34-year-old Ukiah woman for possession of a controlled substance and violating her probation. She was booked into county jail.
The following were compiled from reports prepared by the UPD regarding calls handled by the Fort Bragg Police Department.
DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 1200 block of North Main Street at 1:48 a.m. July 5 and arrested Jody Fagundes, 57, of Fort Bragg, on suspicion of driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and violating her probation. She was cited and released.
DUI: An officer stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of Franklin Street at 6:28 p.m. July 5 and arrested Bryan E. Kann, 54, of Fort Bragg, on suspicion of driving under the influence of a drug, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale and utilizing a false compartment. He was booked into county jail and the vehicle stored.
Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper. The Daily Journal makes no exceptions.
