Billie Jean King, 81, who was once the No. 1 women's tennis player in the world, made a rare public appearance at Wimbledon over the weekend to cheer on this year's field.

She was also a prolific doubles player, winning Wimbledon women's doubles 10 times and mixed doubles four times. In fact, in addition to having a career Grand Slam in singles, she also had a career Grand Slam in mixed doubles and almost a career Grand Slam in women's doubles. The only tournament she never won in women's doubles was the Australian Open.

1967 was a banner year for King — she won Wimbledon's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles titles, the U.S. Open singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles, and mixed doubles at the French Open.
