The upcoming season of the show, Survivor 50: In The Hands Of The Fans, is set to air in 2026 and filmed from June 6, 2025, until June 30. In his first post after wrapping, Donaldson showed himself in his garage on July 3, wearing a welder's helmet with the caption, "Yep. Still here. ?♂️"

He was the runner-up on Survivor: The Australian Outback in 2001, competed in the first all-star season in 2004, and returned for Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains in 2010.
