The French side did have to recover from a scare in the group stage where they lost 1-0 to Brazilian and South American champions Botafogo, but managed to recover to finish top of Group B with wins in their other two matches.
Back to back victories since their group stage victory means PSG have now won eight of their last nine matches in all competitions, conceding only one goal in their last six, giving them the best defensive record in the tournament.

Bayern Munich also made relatively light work of their second round clash, defeating Brazilian side Flamengo 4-2 in the Round of 16 to set up their quarter final clash with PSG in Atlanta on Saturday.
Vincent Kompany’s side head into their last eight clash having lost just one of their last 11 matches, with that defeat coming against Benfica in their final group game of this tournament, which cost the German side a first place finish in the group but qualification was already confirmed.
The six-time European champions broke records in their opening match by beating a semi-pro Auckland City side 10-0, contributing to them being the tournament’s joint top scorers so far, as well as their current run of five wins in their last six matches in all competitions.
Bayern Munich have won six of their last seven matches against PSG, including each of their last four, which they’ve all won to nil, the most recent meeting coming earlier in the season in a Champions League match back in November, in which Min-Jae Kim scored the only goal of the game.
