The Pitch Perfect alum, 42, made headlines last month after stepping out on the red carpet with her girlfriend, writer and stylist, Jade Whipkey, officially confirming their romance. The moment also marked a significant one for Camp, serving as her public coming out.
"We're definitely surprised by all of the attention, to be totally honest," Camp told Cosmopolitan while attending the 2025 Mediterrane Film Festival’s Golden Bee Awards in Malta on Sunday night, where she presented an award.
The couple, who first sparked dating rumors earlier this year after Whipkey shared a sweet Instagram photo of Camp, made their red carpet debut at the Bride Hard premiere in Los Angeles last month—just in time for Pride Month.
The actress also had nothing but praise for her longtime friend and Pitch Perfect co-star Rebel Wilson, who stars alongside her in Bride Hard and has been a source of unwavering support.
Camp's comments come after she defended her and Whipkey's 18-year age gap in the comments of an Instagram post showing the couple's red carpet debut.
"Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I'm wishing everyone well :) Especially this Pride month ?," she added.
Camp was previously married to actor Michael Mosley from 2010 to 2013 before divorcing. She later moved on with her Pitch Perfect co-star Skylar Astin, and the two married in 2017, before ultimately parting ways in 2019.
