When news broke last week that the Emmy-winning series had been axed due to budget constraints, the show's animators illustrated the announcement in a heartbreaking social media short and launched a crowdfunding campaign in the hopes of continuing to create Tiny Chef content on social media. Celebrities like Florence Pugh and Melissa McCarthy have offered their support, and production studio A24 has even been in touch with the creators, Rachel Larsen told Vulture in a new interview, though, so far, no official word on the character's future has been shared.
