Ajax have reportedly told seven players they are ‘not welcome’ at the club’s training ground this summer.
And, according to reports in the Dutch media, that group of stars – which includes two former Premier League players – were informed of the decision via WhatsApp.

Amongst them are ex-Premier League duo Chuba Akpom and Carlos Forbs.
According to De Telegraaf, Borna Sosa, Kristian Hlynsson, Christian Rasmussen, Jay Gorter and Branco van den Boomen are also free to leave.
The group were said to have been informed of the club’s decision via a WhatsApp message from technical director Alex Kroes, the report adds.
As well as being removed from first-team training, they will only be allowed to use the pitch and gym after new manager John Heitinga’s squad have had lunch.
In the event of double training sessions, the group must wait until after the second session to use the facilities.
Their spaces in the players’ car park have also reportedly been removed, whilst only one physio has been made available between the seven of them.
Akpom, Forbs and Sosa all have three years remaining on their contracts at the club.
Meanwhile, Rasmussen and Van den Boomen’s deals expire in 2027, with Hlynsson and Gorter out of contract at the end of the upcoming season.
Former England under-21 international Akpom spent the second half of last season on loan at Nice.

As for Forbs, he failed to score in ten Premier League matches during a season-long loan spell at Wolves.
Sosa and Hlynsson have also returned from loans last season, with the former’s Torino deal including a buy option.
Former Liverpool coach John Heitinga was appointed Ajax boss earlier this summer.
The Dutchman took charge following Francesco Farioli’s exit at the end of the previous campaign.
Farioli departed after a devastating late season collapse saw the club miss out on the Eredivisie title.
Despite leading by nine points with just five matches remaining, they surrendered top spot to PSV on the final day.
It meant the club were denied a first league title for three years by just a single point.
Their second place finish will see Heitinga take the club into the Champions League this term, though, with Ajax entering in the league phase.
