A BELOVED chicken chain often pitted against Chick-fil-A has opened three new locations as part of its bold expansion plans.
There are even more new restaurants coming within the next few weeks, as the chain aims for 100 new spots by the end of 2025.

The new Raising Cane’s can be found in Ontario, Ohio, Wichita, Kansas and Wethersfield, Connecticut.
Previously in June, new spots have been seen in Massachusetts, Illinois and Mississippi.
And the summer of growth is continuing for Raising Cane’s, with new resaturants planned for July.
One is set to launch in Visalia, California, at the beginning of next month.
July 15 will welcome a new spot to Las Vegas, Nevada, Normal, Illinois, and Jacksonville, Florida, per Fox Business.
A new restaurant is also scheduled for Poway, California on July 22.
The official website for Raising Cane’s also points towards a new restaurant in Indiana, Pennsylvania in early August.
In the first quarter of 2025, Raising Cane’s has opened 20 new locations across the US, and plans a total of nearly 100 new ones by the end of the year.
BIG AMBITIONS
Raising Cane’s has lofty ambitions, eyeing locations in near huge landmark venues and educational institutes.
A rep for Raising Cane’s said: “In 2026, Raising Cane’s will continue its growth in both new and existing Communities with nearly 100 new Restaurants planned to open nationwide, including in Los Angeles near SoFi Stadium, in San Francisco at Fisherman’s Wharf and in Seattle near the University of Washington, among many others.
“At any given time, we have about 300 Restaurants at various stages in our development pipeline and are continually evaluating sites all over the world to achieve our goal of operating 1,600+ restaurants and becoming a Top 10 US Restaurant Brand.”
Raising Cane’s has been able to boast a few years of exemplary performance, calling 2024 a “record-breaking year of growth” after opening 118 new spots.
In 2024, Raising Cane’s also passed a huge milestone, achieving it’s first billion dollar quarter.

FIRST TIME CANE’S
As Raising Cane’s plots this expansion, it is also entering new markets.
Recently, the chain came to Portage, Michigan, with the spot expected to open in the fall or as late as early 2026.
Raising Cane’s is not entirely new to the state of Michigan, however, as it already has two locations there.
More spots are planned there too, including in the Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo and Mount Pleasant areas.
A rep commented on the Michigan market: “As we expand across the world, we’re continually looking at global destinations and popular cities in which to open Raising Cane’s.
“We love the energy and excitement Raising Cane’s has garnered across Michigan and hope to bring our brand to more of the state in areas such as Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Mount Pleasant and more of the greater Detroit area within the next few years.”
