This week, Aaron welcomes the band Honey Magpie (Rachael Hurwitz and Pippa Hoover), a local duo that’s celebrating their 10th anniversary as a band with a show at Cats Cradle Back Room on Friday, June 27. They’re calling the show “Cellos and Mermaids” – a perfect encapsulation of their signature sound, with gentle melodies and occasionally comic, occasionally biting lyrics that weave between fairy tales and fantasies and the small unnoticed moments of everyday life.
