COSTCO is continuing to roll out a food court change to its roughly 630 warehouses across the country, and members will begin to notice the major swap in the coming days and weeks.
As the beloved warehouse club continues to implement the change, shoppers are spotting a switch-up to Costco’s iconic $1.50 hot dog combo.

The combo’s taste, allure among foodies, and price – standing at $1.50 since the 1980s – have remained consistent over the decades.
However, the retail giant announced a major change to the soda portion of the beloved combo back in January: Costco would make the controversial switch from Pepsi machines back to Coke machines.
The change began rolling out earlier this year at select Costco warehouses, with the complete transition across all locations expected to be completed by the end of this summer.
Some shoppers have already begun seeing the change in action.
Costco member and content creator Andy Shen, for example, shared a reel on Facebook illustrating the switch at a warehouse in Washington state.
He pointed out that the store’s food court sign for the $1.50 hot dog combo had been updated to show a cup of Coke rather than Pepsi.

Costco members had mixed opinions on the switch, expressing their contrasting viewpoints in the comments section.
“Booo. I’d like for Pepsi to stay,” cried one unhappy shopper as another said “Pepsi all the way,” and called Coke “nasty.”
Those in favor of the change argued that Coke was superior to Pepsi and commended the variety in the new drink selection.

The change in 2013 was rolled out as a cost-saving measure to maintain the price of the beloved $1.50 hot dog combo.
The recent decision to switch back to Coke is likely influenced by a handful of factors, including lowered prices from Coca-Cola.
After a period where Costco reportedly pulled all Coke products, the beverage giant reduced its prices, allowing for the switch back, per a post from the Costco Insider Instagram page.
“Coke’s focus on machine quality and partnership with Costco are likely driving the change,” added the post.
Customer preference may also have played a role in the switch, as many Costco members have expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of Pepsi fountain drinks.
Outside of the food court, Costco is rolling out other big changes.
For example, the retailer is making a major payment change after testing a new method with employees – and shoppers say “finally.”
Plus, Costco confirmed a significant hours switch-up that will affect shoppers at all of its stores.
