Kenzie Morrison, the son of former world heavyweight champion Tommy Morrison, got off to a flying start to his bare-knuckle boxing career.

The 34-year-old blasted away Alex Davis (1-2) inside 63 seconds of the opening stanza at BKFC 76 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Sticking behind a stiff jab, Morrison trapped his adversary against the ropes, where he landed a flurry of shots to close the show.

The referee administered a ten-count, but a dejected Davis chose to sit it out.

Before transitioning to bare-knuckle, Morrison compiled a 21-1-2 record in pro boxing.

But after growing disillusioned with the sport, he decided to ditch the gloves and sign with Conor McGregor-owned BKFC.

Morrison’s father, ‘The Duke’, played Tommy Gunn in Rocky V alongside Sylvester Stallone.

In June 1993, he defeated George Foreman to lay claim to the WBO heavyweight title in what turned out to be a short-lived reign.

Michael Bennett upset the apple cart four months later to dispatch Tommy inside the opening stanza.

Morrison Sr eventually retired in 1996 after testing positive with HIV and tragically passed away 17 years later due to complications with his disease.

His son is now carrying his late father’s legacy into bare-knuckle boxing.

“The drive and determination that it takes someone to defy the odds that people are constantly telling them they can’t do and to be so accomplished in that sport, that inspired me alone,” Morrison told MMA Junkie.

Morrison is a spitting image of his fatherGETTY

“He taught me little things growing up and tried to poke at me and my brother and tell us we’re going to be the next world champ.

“We were all just like: ‘Holy cow, no way…

“I guess growing up in that atmosphere, it seemed more normal, I guess, to be that way.

“I try to raise my son that way, and just try to aspire for more in life than just the regular or average.

“He taught me what not to do as well. There are a lot of things that he didn’t have that he should’ve had, as far as characteristics and staying on track.

“But I don’t want to get into the bad part of everything.”
