Talks are in progress to finalise an official date for the Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn rematch.
The British rivals first went toe-to-toe back in April at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the hotly anticipated grudge bout.
With the organisers of the bout keen to host the rematch in the same location, two new dates have been provided following the announcement of next season’s Premier League fixtures.
When asked what the likely date of the rematch would be, in lieu of the announcement of the fixtures, Benn’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, gave his verdict on the potential options.
“I think 20th of September, October 4 – it’s down to [Turki Alalshikh],” Hearn told BoxingScene.
“So we were talking with [the Saudis] yesterday, and they’ll make a decision soon. You know, September 20 is, I think, 10 weeks on Saturday. So it’s almost time to return to camp.”
The date that was originally penned was September 27, but has been forced to change as Spurs will now host Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The stated dates align perfectly with the league fixtures, as Tottenham will play Brighton away on September 20 and Leeds United away on October 4.
Immediately after the contest, talks of a rematch began, as both men had signed contracts for a two-fight deal.
Although nothing is signed as of yet, with details still to be formalised, the second fight will take place later this year.
Ahead of their bout, Benn made the move up two weight classes in order to box Eubank Jr at middleweight.
The 28-year-old impressed everyone during his first bout at 160lbs, having mainly competed at welterweight during his career.

When asked about the possibility of changing the weight for the rematch during the post-fight press conference on April 26, Hearn told assembled media: “I think Eubank should come down a little bit lower rather than Conor coming up two weight classes.”
Eubank Jr and Benn undeniably reignited a family rivalry that began three decades ago between their fathers, as they battled it out in the ring.
It was seen as an iconic occasion with both fathers, Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn, present for the mesmerising clash.
Their sons delivered 12 highly entertaining rounds to over 60,000 fans in the stadium, with Eubank Jnr declared the winner via unanimous decision.
Ultimately, the pair laid it all on the line in one of the best fights ever seen on British soil.
Benn came out of the ring vying for his revenge against the 35-year-old whenever the two are scheduled to meet again.
