Both men are set to square off against each other at Wembley Stadium on July 19 for the undisputed heavyweight crown.
Mark Robinson/MatchroomUsyk had spent his entire professional career under Krassyuk’s promotional banner[/caption]It remains unclear as to why Usyk and Krassyuk have split, although there is clearly no ill will between the pair.
Under Krassyuk’s promotional banner, Usyk became one of only three male two-undisputed champions in the four-belt era (alongside Terence Crawford and Naoya Inoue).
Usyk picked up the WBO cruiserweight title in only his 10th fight by overcoming Poland’s Krzysztof Głowacki.
He then went on to unify the division through the World Boxing Super Series tournament, beating Mairis Briedis for the WBC belt and Murat Gassiev for the WBA and IBF straps.
Intent upon extending his legacy, Usyk moved up to heavyweight in 2019, and within two years, he would become WBA, IBF and WBO champion by defeating Anthony Joshua.
After repeating his heroics in a sequel with Joshua, Usyk stopped Dubois in the ninth round en route to landing an undisputed heavyweight title fight with WBC king Tyson Fury.
Usyk is set to face Dubois on July 19GettyUsyk won the four-belt shootout via split decision and then widened the gap in the rematch with a unanimous decision victory.
In between the two fights, Usyk was forced to relinquish his IBF title in order to box Fury for a second time, resulting in Dubois scooping the red and gold strap.
They are now set to put all their belts on the line in what is expected to be Usyk’s penultimate professional outing.
