For the 11th consecutive year, the chain has won over customers with its service, despite McDonald’s bringing back an iconic item to win back fans.

Chick-fil-A is officially the fast food chain made for the customers, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) rankings.

The chain scored 83 out of 100 on the scale in 2024, while other big names lost points.

For example, KFC fell to 77 points in its customer satisfaction score, which is a dip of 5% from the previous year.

The ACSI report is based on 16,381 completed surveys from April 2024 through March 2025.

It is split into four regions, South, West, Northeast and Midwest.

Chick-fil-A topped the Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) category nationwide and in the West and South.

Starbucks had the highest satisfaction scores in the Northeast, came in second in the West and tied for second in the South.

SNACK WRAP COMEBACK

Meanwhile, McDonald’s was only awarded 70 points on the index for last year.

The fast food giant is making moves to claw back foodies, namely with the anticipated return of its Snack Wrap.

McDonald’s has been teasing it since December, and a date for it has finally been revealed.

It was initially discontinued in 2016, but did pop up in 2020 before the pandemic wiped it out fully.

A staffer leaked the release date as July 10, leaving less than a month until customers can get their hands on it.

But there is some concern that it won’t be exactly like the original, as some believe it will be topped with new McCrispy Strips.

One person wrote on social media: “If it’s not the original, I don’t want it.”

There is also no indication a grilled version will be available on launch.

ADAPTABILITY

The survey found that quick service restaurants (QSRs) are slowly closing the gap between them and full-service restaurants, at least whenit comes to customer satiusfation.

QSRs held a stead 79 point rating, and full-service fell 2% to 82.

This seems to be the main turning point for consumers, who seem to be valuing inventive marketing from new chains over legacy brands.

The survey frim wrote: “With households increasingly treating dining out as a luxury, every menu item and service interaction becomes a potential make-or-break moment.”

Forrest Morgeson, director of research at the ACSI, added: “Smaller, popular brands like Raising Cane’s and Wingstop are proving that creative marketing, digital engagement, and focusing on core strengths can challenge even the most established chains.

“The brands that succeed will be the ones that adapt quickly.”
