Conor McGregor isn’t unfamiliar with an incident on the dance floor.
Fans have expressed their concerns for McGregor this week, with a video of him reportedly hitting a man twice in an Ibiza nightclub emerging on social media.
In the footage, a man resembling McGregor is seen leaning forwards before thumping a man with two consecutive left hands, and the second drops the latter to the floor.
The video left several MMA fans let down, as some still hold expectations that ‘The Notorious’ will eventually make a return to the UFC, where he hasn’t competed since 2021.
However, this wasn’t the first time the Irishman has left fans disappointed ahead of a potential UFC comeback.
Back in May 2024, fans were stunned when new footage emerged of McGregor partying until the early hours of the morning ahead of his UFC 303 return.
The former two-division champion was set to end his three-year injury hiatus by fighting Michael Chandler at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on June 29 last year.
However, the bout was cancelled when UFC President Dana White revealed McGregor was injured, with the latter injuring a toe while sparring.
But this didn’t come before McGregor went viral for his antics at his pub in Dublin.
DJ Mark Kinchen had played a surprise set at McGregor’s Black Forge Inn pub and the UFC superstar popped in to enjoy the party.
The following day, he shared a video of him arriving at the venue with his long-time partner, Dee Devlin, posing for pictures with fans during what seemed to be a pretty tame night.
In a deleted post, McGregor shared pictures of him holding bottles of alcohol and letting loose as he partied until 2am, although there was nothing to suggest he was actually drinking them.

Quarter past 2 in the morning ye hahahaha,” he wrote online.
Other people at the party had shared footage of McGregor taking off his shirt while dancing with Devlin, the mother of his four children.
And this sparked a major reaction from the MMA community, with many believing McGregor had, unsurprisingly, no chance of making a return the following month.
One fan responded to the video, saying: “Bet your house on Chandler.”
Another commented: “He’s a mess.”
While a third person added: “He is gonna get sparked out by Chandler.”

His multiple controversial incidents since the build-up to the cancelled fight make it almost impossible for any reasonable UFC fan to have any hope of him making a comeback.
The incident in Ibiza marked another one of McGregor’s run-ins with a fan on the party island.
Former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew insisted there must be more to McGregor’s latest incident when speaking to talkSPORT on Wednesday.
“Conor is so famous, so out there and so well known, I’d be shock if he’s hit someone for nothing,” he said
“I’d be very, very surprised if Conor’s hit someone for nothing, there’s usually provocation in these kinds of things or something’s been said or done.
McGregor has been spotted parting in public numerous times since his last UFC fight in 2021Instagram @thenotoriousmma“There’s always two sides to these things.”
Back in July 2022, McGregor had another fan encounter while he was celebrating his 34th birthday at Ocean Beach Club, which is owned by Gary Lineker’s brother, Wayne Lineker.
At the venue, an overeager fan tossed a cap at McGregor in attempt to have the Irishman wear or sign it.
Instead, McGregor responded to the thrower with a sarcastic thumbs up.
The Irishman also found himself in hot water back in November 2019 by assaulting a 50-year-old man at a Dublin pub.
He was seen offering those in attendance shots of his Proper 12 whiskey at the Marble Arch pub in April of that year.
Desmond Keogh, who was seated at the bar, politely refused the UFC star’s offer.
McGregor then punched Keogh before he was hustled out of the venue by his entourage, and he was subsequently fined €1,000 (£869) for the incident.
