But there’s one menu item that got away (among many) that fans haven’t let Costco forget: the sorely missed Combo Pizza. First introduced in the late 1980s, it held its place as a food court staple for decades before vanishing during 2020’s Covid-era menu cuts. And despite constant online pleas for its return, the Combo Pizza remains a distant memory—living on only in our dreams.
That is, unless you’ve got a trip planned to Tokyo—because word is, you can still score the beloved Combo Pizza at Costco locations in Japan. So now you’ve got to ask yourself: is a plane ticket and hotel stay worth it? We say yes—especially if you build an entire trip around it.
