‘Harry Potter’ Star Says 2003 Film 'Destroyed Everybody's Career' ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

While recording the June 9 episode of Modern Family star, Jesse Tyler Ferguson's podcast, Dinner's On Me, Isaac shared he had a low point in his career following the release of the 2003 fantasy film, Peter Pan, directed by P.J. Hogan. Isaac, who played Captain Hook and Wendy Darling's (Rachel Hurd-Wood) father Mr. George Darling, said the film did not do well at the box office, causing issues for the cast and crew.

He suggested, however, that he did not regret starring in the film, which he described as "stunning." He explained that he felt "grounded" in his life and "didn't invest in this film's success like other people did."

"[They would] whisper things in my ear like 'Oscar campaigns' and 'You'll never fly commercial again.' And all this nonsense," said Isaac during the 2021 interview.

"When the film came out and was a catastrophe commercially, not critically, but commercially. Yes, it was disappointing, but in the right size way. I hadn't built up expectations," said the actor.
