ALISTAIR DOCHERTY made his US Open debut on Thursday, less than a month after surviving a horror clash.
The 31-year-old was T-boned at an intersection days before the Korn Ferry’s Visit Knoxville Open.

Docherty, miraculously, escaped the wreck with any serious injuries.
But after his practice round earlier this week, he insisted: “It’s not a miracle.”
Miracle denial aside, Docherty is grateful he walked away from the wreck unscathed.
He said: “I’m very thankful. But it’s definitely where I believe I’m supposed to be.
“Everything works out for a reason. I’m just trying to take advantage.”
Recalling the ordeal, Docherty said: “I was coming back from a practice round in Knoxville on Tuesday and made a left-hand turn and got T-boned.
“[I] was covered in glass, blood everywhere.

“[I’m] just lucky to be alive.”
The US Open debutant added: “My car spun around a few times.
“I felt glass and everything come at me.
“I opened my eyes and thought I saw smoke. I jumped out of the car as quickly as possible.
“It ended up being the stuff coming out of the airbag.
“I walked around a little dazed, and I was covered in blood and glass.”
Docherty was two over par in his opening round at Oakmont on Thursday, a score which was in large part down to a double bogey – the first of the tournament – on the tenth hole.
