The passing of Beach Boys founder Brian Wilson has deeply affected music lovers of all ages. While many admire the group for their innovative sound and lasting influence, others were first introduced to their music through its heartfelt inclusion in the beloved sitcom Full House.
Mike Love made a solo cameo as himself in Season 3's “Our Very First Telethon,” and the full band returned for Season 5’s “Captain Video.” But perhaps the most infamous moment a Beach Boys song was used in the series was in 1991, during Jesse (Stamos) and Rebecca's (Lori Loughlin) wedding, when Jesse serenaded his new wife with the band's 1970 tune, "Forever."
"Forever" was written by Dennis Wilson and Gregg Jakobson. Dennis sang lead vocal. Wilson's brother Brian assisted with the arrangement.
On the first episode of Fuller House in 2016, "Forever" was once again performed by Jesse and the Rippers. An official music video was released as well.
The song was featured on The Beach Boys' 1970 album Sunflower. The LP subsequently made the list of Rolling Stone's 2003 list of the Greatest Albums of All Time.
