ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two motorcyclists were injured on Wednesday night after Rochester Police say they were hit by a car whose driver and passenger ran away.
The crash happened on Lake Avenue and Emerson Street around 11:15 p.m. News10NBC’s photojournalist saw both heavily damaged bikes on the ground and the car abandoned.
RPD says the car, a Ford sedan, ran a stop sign on Emerson Street and hit the motorcycles in the intersection with Lake Avenue. Police say the motorcyclists had the right of way.
An ambulance took the victims, an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old, both from Greece, to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are still searching for the suspects and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
