SANDAG to host public learning session in El Cajon on Draft 2025 Regional Plan ...Middle East

Residents in East County are invited to a public learning session hosted by the San Diego Association of Governments on Wednesday, June 11, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Salvation Army El Cajon Corps, located at 1011 E Main Street, El Cajon.

The event is the first in a series of public sessions designed to provide an overview of the Draft 2025 Regional Plan, a long-term blueprint for improving the San Diego region’s transportation system over the next 25 years. Updated every four years, the plan is required by state and federal law and addresses critical issues such as transportation, housing, land use, and climate goals.

The Draft 2025 Regional Plan focuses on delivering more convenient, equitable, healthy, and safe transportation choices throughout the region. At the session, attendees will learn about proposed improvements in their communities and have the opportunity to share feedback directly with SANDAG.

Public comments on the plan are being accepted through July 18, 2025, and may be submitted online, by email, phone, mail, or at future learning sessions.
