Florida’s 2026 recruiting class got off to a slow start, but things are starting to pick up for Billy Napier‘s program.

On Sunday, the Gators picked up a pair of commitments. After in-state offensive lineman Chancellor Campbell verbally pledged to UF, Gainesville’s own Justin Williams also announced that he’s staying home to play for the orange and blue.

Out of Buchholz High School, Williams is listed as measuring 5-11 and 190 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Williams is a blue-chip ATH prospect, rated 4-stars, the No. 37 player in the state of Florida and No. 235 prospect overall in the Class of 2026. With Billy Gonzales leading the recruitment of Williams, it appears his future with the Gators is at wide receiver.

Williams picked up scholarship offers from 27 programs during his recruitment. Iowa, Louisville, North Carolina and Ole Miss were among the programs to show interest during his recruitment. Williams told Hayes Fawcett of On3 that he chose Florida over Florida State, Kentucky, Indiana and Mizzou.
