Aryna Sabalenka vs Coco GauffFrench Open Women’s Final: What has been said?
Gauff had to deal with a passionate home crowd as well as Boisson in her semi-final, and she revealed an interesting coping technique after the win.
She said: “This is my first time playing a French player here. I was mentally prepared that it was to be 99% for her so I was trying to block it out.
“When you were saying her name, I was saying my name to myself just to psyche myself.”
But Gauff enjoyed the battle with Boisson.
She said: “Lois is an incredible player and for her to have the tournament she’s had, she’s shown she’s one of the best players in the world.
“I hope we have many more battles in the future, especially here, Today ,it was just my day.”
