The Arizona Diamondbacks’ game on Wednesday at the Atlanta Braves has been delayed due to inclement weather at Truist Park, the Braves announced.
The game was scheduled to start at 4:15 p.m. There was no initial estimate for how long the delay would last. “Periods of rain” are in the forecast for the next couple hours, according to AccuWeather. The rain is expected to stop around 6:30 p.m.

The Diamondbacks won the series opener on Tuesday, 8-3, after Zac Gallen threw seven innings with one earned run. Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte each homered twice to lead the offense, and Carroll’s three-run shot in the ninth inning allowed Arizona to hold off on using closer Justin Martinez.
The pitching matchup on Wednesday is right-hander Merrill Kelly for Arizona against Braves southpaw and 2024 NL Cy Young winner Chris Sale.
