After the COVID-19 negative certificate norms were lifted, over 27,000 devotees flocked the Puri Jagannath Temple on Thursday. The Bada Danda was lively as the devotees started flocking the temple as soon as the gates opened at 5am. Initially, the temple doors were opened for the local people from Puri who were allowed darshan from 6am to 7am. From 7.30am, devotees from outside Puri were allowed for darshan in three sessions. The temple was decked up with flowers to welcome the devotees. Meanwhile, the Administration has requested the Odisha Government for prioritize vaccination of all the sevayats of the temple.
