THE UFL suffered more embarrassment this weekend with an attendance disaster.
The struggling football league saw an incredibly sparse turnout at one particular game.

The venue in Memphis, Tennessee has a capacity of 44,000.
According to Mike Mitchell, via Pro Football Talk, Saturday’s game was watched by just 2,044 people.
The Showboats lost 30-12 to fall to 2-7 for the season.
Last year they averaged 6,900 fans at their home games.
But attendances this year have averaged just 3,846.
The report in NBC’s Pro Football Talk speculated whether the UFL will continue in Memphis.
But some fans think it’s not just the Showboats team which is in trouble.
“END the league – what a joke,” one wrote.
Another said, “The UFL won’t be around long, period.”
While a third commented, “Whole league is in trouble.”
The UFL has suffered a number of problems in it’s second season.
The project is backed by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and is a merger between the USFL and XFL.
Ratings on both ESPN and Fox have been significantly down on the 2024 season.
Last week, ABC cut away from a game in the fourth quarter to show an NBA Countdown show.
DC Defenders’ game against the Arlington Renegades was bumped to ESPN2 to make way for basketball buildup.
And players planned to revolt to The Rock at the season opener this year.
Players demanded year-round healthcare or an increase in salary that would let them afford it.
They were apparently ready to deliver a letter to Johnson in person.
But the WWE star turned actor was forced to miss the game due to a plane issue.
