The right-handed batsman opened the innings with Aiden Markram after Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to bowl first. The Australia allrounder started cautiously, scoring 22 runs off 19 balls at the end of the powerplay.

Marsh eventually departed for 117 runs. His knock came off 64 deliveries and was studded with 10 fours and 8 sixes. He also became the first overseas batsman to score a century in the ongoing IPL 2025. Overall, he became the seventh batsmen this season to score a century.
