A man who was fatally shot earlier this week in Lemon Grove was identified Friday.
Sheriff’s deputies responded around 9:05 p.m. Tuesday to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 7800 block of Broadway, where they found 25-year-old Julio Orozco Cabrera suffering from traumatic injuries, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said the suspect, 59-year-old Marvin Lester Sears, was arrested at the scene and had a prior relationship with the victim.
Detectives continued to interview witnesses and collect evidence. The motive and circumstances remained under investigation.
