The 26th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Gujarat Titans took place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.
Pooran continued his golden run with the bat in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League against the Gujarat Titans and played a key role in his team's victory.
Pooran took the in-form Gujarat Titans bowling unit to the cleaners and completed his half-century in just 23 balls, with one four and six sixes. He continued batting aggressively and built two crucial partnerships with Aiden Markram and Ayush Badoni that also confirmed his team's win.
However, Pooran was unable to make a good connection with the ball and was caught by Shahrukh Khan. After getting the wicket, Rashid Khan was having a small chat with Nicholas Pooran.

Speaking ahead of the match, the star leg-spinner Rashid talked about the importance of hunger in sports, saying that without hunger, it's difficult for one to succeed.
The Lucknow Super Giants coach Justin Langer also talked about the importance of hunger in cricket.
"I remember talking to Brian Lara one day, and he said, JL, when I have a good day, I make sure I have a great day. The most important ingredient of the greatest players, they have this incredible hunger. Because of that, they train harder, they stay healthy, they practise, and they just want more and more. It's like addictive," Justin Langer said.
