Jay Bilas called Alabama‘s performance against BYU in the Sweet 16 “amazing” in a video reaction he shared on social media late Thursday night.
“I mean, holy cow. Twenty-five 3s, 113 points. … It was unreal,” Bilas said. “Earlier (Thursday) I was on a radio show talking about Alabama and I was saying one thing in basketball I’ve never been able to figure out — I don’t know who has — is when a hot streak begins and how, and when a hot streak ends and how. And I talked a little bit about Mark Sears, that as effective as Sears has been, the last 5 games or so he hasn’t shot it as well as he’s capable of shooting it.
“I mean, 25 3s in a 40-minute game is outrageous.”
Bilas went on to say that Alabama defended well, too, and the Sweet 16 performance should put “a little trepidation” into other teams.
So, be warned, Duke.
