A San Diego Police Department sniper has shot a man Tuesday who allegedly threatened several people with a gun near Miramar Ranch North, an officer said.
The condition of the suspect, who apparently suffered a bullet wound to the head, was not known.
Sightings of a man with a gun at Angelique Street and Cypress Canyon led to the police response. A tactical team also was sent to the area, a dispatcher said
Officers shut down traffic lanes in the area as well.
The neighborhood is south of Scripps Poway Parkway, near Cypress Canyon Park.
