Highlighting night 3 of the NCAA Championships was Wisconsin’s Cal Dunn as she swam to another lifetime best and school record posting a 4:04.20 in the 400 IM after swimming a 4:04.85 in prelims. Dunn entered the season with a lifetime best of a 4:07.26, a time that she swam as a senior for 14th at last year’s NCAAs.

Fellow teammate Phoebe Bacon also had a swim you might have missed as she posted a 50.00 in the 100 back, just missing becoming the 16th swimmer to break 50-seconds in the event. Bacon entered the season with a best time of a 50.39 from 2021 NCAAs.

Sophie Yendell 50.83 100 fly for 11th, faster than her previous life best time of a 50.87 that she swam at 2024 ACCs. Her previous season best was a 51.13 from ACCs.

Stanford senior Lillie Nordmann cracked the 51-second mark for the first time in her career posting a 50.96 for 12th. Nordmann’s previous lifetime best was a 51.26 that she swam last year at NCAAs to finish 12th in prelims before going on to finish 12th in finals in a 51.38.

Cal’s Lea Polonsky swam to a 4th place finish in the 200 free touching in a 1:41.85. That dropped almost a full second off her lifetime best o fa 1:42.71 that she swam last month leading off the team’s 800 free relay. Polonsky switched her event lineup from a year ago as she swam the 400 IM at NCAAs last year.

Texas freshman Lillie Nesty posted a best time en route to a 10th place finish int he 200 free. Nesty touched in a 1:42.86, fastest than her previous lifetime best of a 1:43.21 that she swam in January at the Eddie Reese Showdown. She arrived in Austin this fall with a lifetime best of a 1:43.87.
