The former Wendy Williams Show host, 60, revealed the whereabouts of the iconic piece of furniture in a prerecorded interview that aired on The View on Friday, March 14. Alongside healthcare advocate Ginalia Monterrosa, the pair also openly discussed her financial guardianship, under which she was placed in 2022 after her financial advisor claimed she wasn't of "sound mind." Williams has reportedly been living in a New York City care facility since 2023 after reportedly being diagnosed with aphasia and dementia.
"It's in storage and the guardian, by the way, the last time I wanted to go to storage, she told me 'No, you won't, I won't be going to storage,'" Williams explained. "So yeah, all of my clothing, all of my sneakers, all of my handbags, everything [is] in storage, and yes, the fabulous purple chair, it's in storage."
The Wendy Williams Show premiered in 2008 and ran for 13 seasons before airing its final episode in 2022. Williams was forced to take a series of hiatuses in later seasons due to her health issues, which also include Graves’ disease and lymphedema.
After Williams claimed she received mental competency tests and "passed with flying colors,” she said her "most important thing" was "getting out” of the guardianship.
