On the latest episode of her misSPELLING podcast, the 51-year-old actress explained that she doesn't drink water—ever.
"First of all, I don't drink water, which, if you know me, you know me, and you know that's just crazy weird," Spelling said.
Considering the possible cause of her apparent phobia, Spelling said that she sometimes worries her drinks have been poisoned, recently thinking that her ex, Dean McDermott, might have put something in her ginger ale. (McDermott assured her that he did not, telling her, "You're the mother of my children. Why would I want to poison you?")
"I mean, I'm Aaron Spelling's daughter. Hello! The creator of drama-rama storytelling. Hello!" she added.
According to Spelling, her fear of liquids might go back to her childhood. She was even suspicious when her mom, Candy, gave her medication smashed up and mixed with Coke syrup.
“This goes back to childhood,” she said. “This crazy, irrational fear of handed over liquids from other people. I don't drink water. I don't call it a fear of water. I just like to say I hate water. I have an allergy to water.”
"Most likely because I was dehydrated because I hate water. I don't drink water," she said.
