(KRON) -- A shelter-in-place advisory is in effect as the Hillsborough Police Department investigate a police shooting with a suspect that occurred in the police department's parking lot on Saturday afternoon.
Hillsborough PD said there is a large law enforcement presence in the area. Police confirmed that the suspect remains at large.
The Burlingame Police Department advised residents at 5:12 p.m. of a shelter-in-place advisory until further notice. Residents are being told to stay indoors and lock all doors and windows.
People are being urged to avoid the area as they conduct an active search operation.
