A 17-year-old motorcyclist was severely injured Friday in a head-on collision with a pickup truck near Castle Park High School.
The boy was riding to the north on Hilltop Drive/ in Chula Vista at about 9:30 a.m. Friday when he crashed head-on into a Ford F-150 at East Rienstra Street, according to police.
The impact hurtled the teen off his motorcycle and into a westbound GMC Yukon, Chula Vista police Officer Oscar Miranda said.
Paramedics took the boy, a Chula Vista resident, to a hospital. No other injuries were reported.
