Elizabeth Renderos, the hotel employee who was allegedly attacked by Love, filed a civil lawsuit against the Elf star on Tuesday, Feb. 18, according to court documents reviewed by the San Diego-based television news station KNSD and The Los Angeles Times.

Love, 56, allegedly reacted by grabbing hold of a credit card reader that was sitting on a nearby counter and throwing it at Renderos, who said she was struck in the head. Renderos said she went to a hospital after the alleged attack and was told she had a concussion.
The local district attorney’s office filed a criminal complaint against Love the following month. An arrest warrant was issued for Love on Oct. 2, 2024, and remained active as of Friday, Feb. 21. Love faces a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon, according to Parade’s review of the warrant.
