ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The Regional Site Readiness Program helps the area prepare for future industrial use.
$2.5 million is granted to the city for the development of Integrity Road and the installation of a watermain at the southeast corner of the IL-2 and US-20 Interchange site.
“The City, in collaboration with Region 1 Planning Council, submitted a strong application aimed at increasing this site’s attractiveness for business growth and investment,” said Mayor Tom McNamara.
The improvements are meant to attract industrial development, resulting in the creation of hundreds of jobs.
