A man was fatally shot by police on Saturday morning in Alhambra, authorities said.
At around 11:47 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, an officer-involved-shooting (OIS) occurred on the 1200 block of South Almansor Street in Alhambra, north of Valley Boulevard and east of Garfield Avenue, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
The man was shot by police and was transported to a local hospital, where he died, said the LASD, whose Homicide Bureau was assisting the Alhambra Police Department with the investigation.
The man’s identity was not immediately made public.
No police officers were injured.
Information on the circumstances of the shooting, including if the man was armed, was not immediately released.
