Son of Pakistan great Abdul Qadir, Usman announced his retirement from Pakistan cricket in October last year out of frustration. This was because he didn't get the opportunity for the Pakistan National Cricket Team and also wasn't allowed to play in the other leagues.
Ever since moving to Australia, Usman has played in South Australia. He also has played for Perth Scorchers and Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League apart from representing Australia’s Prime Minister’s XI. As per the reports, the main reason behind his move is to play cricket in Australia.

Usman Qadir, while talking about his move to Australia, said that cricket is his livelihood and has shifted to Australia for his future. He said that he wants to carry forward the legacy of his father and is hopeful of getting good opportunities. He said:
