The cause of a Thursday morning collision in Imperial Beach that left a motorcyclist seriously injured is under investigation, Sheriff’s officials said.
Just after 8 a.m., deputies responded to a crash between a motorcycle and car in the 1300 block of Palm Avenue.
When they arrived, they found an unconscious motorcyclist lying face down on the ground and began life-saving measures until paramedics arrived. The man was breathing when they transported him to the hospital for his injuries.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with deputies. The Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) Team was called to the scene.
