Highway 70 in Marysville to fully reopen after months-long closure due to Hotel Marysville fire ...Middle East

The northbound lanes of the highway have been closed between 3rd and 6th streets since the Hotel Marysville burned in June of last year. 

Caltrans said eastbound 5th Street will remain closed from Highway 70 to D Street as contractors continue to work on the site.

The hotel, which had been abandoned for years, was destroyed in a fire. It was deemed unsafe and disrupted the local community and commuter traffic due to its position in the city.

Just last week, city officials hinted the property could be developed into a mix of multi-family housing, commercial spaces and possibly a restaurant.
